Qualified and Experienced Technicians

Michael Martin, Owner & Technician - Trained by Mercedes-Benz with 27 years experience

Owner Michael Martin's passion for Mercedes began when he was chosen for an apprenticeship with Mercedes-Benz in 1997, at the age of 16.

By the age of 18 he was one of a few to have achieved the level of Certified Automotive Engineer and Engineering Technician status with the IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry), giving him the status of Mr Michael Martin CAE AMIMI EngTech in the UK.

By 20 he had graduated from the Mercedes–Benz apprenticeship with flying colours following a trip to the HQ in Germany.

By 23 he had achieved the highest level obtainable of Diagnostic Technician with Mercedes-Benz, which saw him head hunted throughout the South East and London's top Mercedes Main Dealers for a further 6 years.

By 29 MB of Medway Ltd was “born” after Michael felt there was a need for a quality alternative to the Main Dealer network that could offer a personal touch whilst allowing his perfectionism and attention to detail to shine through. By offering a high degree of technical expertise combined with great value for money, MB of Medway Ltd has grown rapidly and since opening in 2010 has seen a vast number of vehicles pass through the workshop.

Bradley Moorhouse, Technician - with 13 years experience

I have always enjoyed how things work, growing up always taking toys apart to put them back together, rummaging through my dads (a Mercedes system technician) tool box seeing what I can use.

I studied Electrical and Mechanical engineering at mid-Kent college to HND level 5 gaining a distinction across the board and also winning 'Engineer of the year' award. I then progressed to the University of Greenwich where I furthered my qualifications in the same field.

After leaving university I entered the materials handling side of engineering (Toyota) carrying out repairs and maintenance to lifting equipment on customers sites.

But deep inside I enjoyed the automotive side always having a project car in the garage to tinker with at weekends. Then one day I was offered a opportunity at an Aston Martin specialist, a manufacture I had always admired for producing outstanding cars and there is where my automotive career begun.

I then moved on to a large prestigious car sales (Big Motoring World) where I gained vast experience in Mercedes and BMW carrying out in house repairs and also retail follow up work where I became a workshop diagnostic team leader.

To then improve my skills I moved to a fully retail Mercedes and BMW repair independent where I had full use of main dealer manufacture pass through for diagnosing and programming but also other brands of diagnostic equipment (Autologic, Bosch, Launch, Delphi) allowing me to learn the vehicle systems inside out.

Now I have chosen to further myself and career at MB of Medway hoping to help expand the business and bring an outstanding level of service.
